1967.
I lived in Lynbrook until I was 10, riding my bike everywhere from about age
seven onward (including the longest excursion -- to Long Island City to ride
the trolley across the Queensboro Bridge). But spent many a day "hanging
out" and watching trains at each of the stations nearby. My favorite was
watching the MU Express trains switch at West Hempstead and Rockville
Center.
