In a manner of speaking. It was, essentially, a crossing shanty with a
brass-barred window at the south end of the westbound platform. If you saw
photos, you would think it a gateman's shanty or perhaps an outhouse. On hot
days, one waited for the creosote to start oozing so as to overcome the odor
of those who thought of it as an outhouse. Thankfully, the window closed
around 9:50 AM.
