Yeah, Paul, I was hiking up Campbells Ledge (mountain in back of LVRR Coxton Yard). I jumped off a large rock on the path & almost landed on a BIG rattler about a foot away. As they say - the snakes usually retreat & this one did..........or u wouldn't be reading this msg.

Having hiked up in these hills many times, I can tell you that the trees
have grown in a lot more and I don't think Bunnell's locations are reachable
anymore, alas.
Also, I can testify to the presence of diamondback rattlers, too :) - seen
several but luckily was able to avoid them.
