The advantage of Sea-Land (and yes, that's the proper way to write their abbreviated corporate name - the full name is "Sea-Land Service, Inc.") using either PC or LV was that their Meadows and Oak Island terminals, respectively, were closer to their piers at Port Elizabeth, offering a shorter drayage than if they were unloaded at Croxton.

Of course, this makes it even funnier that when Sea-Land wanted to run stack trains in the 1980s, they used the NYS&W, whose terminal put them even FARTHER away from the Port Elizabeth pier! Go figure. :)

Oh, and for the record, the correct spelling is "Seatrain" (no capital 'T') - the company's full formal corporate name is "Seatrain Lines."
