Re: (erielack) NJ & NY Railroad

Ken & List

The New City Branch diverged from the NJ&NY at Nanuet, NY
and then intersected with the Piermont Branch at Nanuet
Crossing on a diamond protected by a high crossing stand.
It is my understanding that the Erie once ran a "Doodlebug"
on the New City Branch that connected with NJ&NY trains
at Nanuet. By 1974, the New City Btranch was gone.

About 2/10 of a mile west of Nanuet, the Permont Branch
and NY&NY connected at Nanuet Junction ("KS"). Spring
Valley was 2.3 miles further. Hope this helps.
