RE: (erielack) puzzled by Lambert's Erie Dunmore caboose

Hi Rik,

The diagrams for the Dunmores show an overall height above rail as 14'-5 1/4" to the top of the
cupola roof. The stack is higher, 14'-11 3/4". I don't have one of these out right now, but it's my
recollection that they do ride high. I'm sure they can be made to ride at a reasonable height. The
floor is 3'-9 1/4" above rail. You can find these diagrams on the Fallen Flags website:

http://www.rr-fallenflags.org

I also kind of hate to tell you this, but the Lambert model has a flaw: On one side the windows are
correct. On the other side, they are not. The pair of windows should always be to the right looking
at the side. Lambert somehow managed to make it so the paired window is always at the same end.
Likely, they simply flipped the negative to etch the wrong side. This is only going to matter if
you're a perfectionist, and you host many ERIE / EL modelers who know about it. 8^)

Most of them will either not care of know why you still want to have it.
