Mahoning Division EMP TT #67, April 30, 1961.....
Passenger trains----60 MPH, except----
- ----passenger trains on eastward and westward unrestricted track between MP
9.66 east of Lee Road and MP 21.00 Geauga Lake and between MP 42.00 east of
Mahoning and MP 48.26 west of Leavittsburg.....75 MPH
(SN Jct was MP 49.59)
MP 105.40 Buchanan and MP 134.80 Transfer, MP 165.00 (SN Jct main line MP)
and MP 188.39 east of Kent Yard, MP 21.00 Geauga Lake and MP 33.86 west of
Jeddoe, MP 48.26 west of Leavittsburg and MP 58.15 west of Niles........70 MPH
(unless otherwise restricted by curves, etc.)
Freight Trains---50 MPH
Youngstown to Cleveland (and vice versa) moves at SN Jct were straight
through and were not speed restricted, ---70 MPH passenger, 30 MPH freight
(Freight trains on 1st sub between Pymatuning and SN Jct were restricted to 30 MPH
at that time.)
Second district westbound was a straight through move (movable point frogs)
and was not speed restricted.---50 MPH freight.
Eastbound second district to either first district (Youngstown) or second
district was governed by a medium speed turnout and therefore was 30
MPH-----Freight and Passenger.
