Re: (erielack) RE: Conrail TV-77 with EL unit



Out of curiosity, the caption for the photo states that the track in question is gone. I was under the impression that the ex-EL main is intact from Niles westward to the outskirts of Akron. I was in Kent in 2000 and saw the main still there, albeit overgrown in places. At the time, it was owned by Wheeling and Lake Erie, or some county authority, that had it railbanked for a possible Akron commuter service.  When was this track removed?
