Re: (erielack) Teletype for train orders



The FAX machine had not been put into production
during the EL days. Not sure it have even been
invented yet. We had very few photo copy machines.
Even Stroudsburg depot never had a photo copy machine.
FAX machines came into being while I was working on
the Colorado and Southern. Bumped down their in 1982.
The FAX machines where installed several years later.
I am guessing around 1984. We used the fax machines at
first for sending delay reports and messages. In
November 1985 is when we went from train orders to
track warrents. The fax machines where then used for
track warrents and additional machines where
installed.
