Another detour that some others may remember is what was probably the last
time the D&H Penn Division was actively used from Ninevah Jct. down to
Lanesboro and the junction with the Jefferson Div. in mid- to late-80's
(just before/after acquiring the DL&W from CR if I recall correctly).

D&H/Guilford was rebuilding the tunnel between Ninevah and Binghamton,
necessitating w/b's to detour down the Penn Division to JM(?), the
connection to the Jefferson Div.. - units would need to run around and/or
another set couple onto the west end and pull up to the connection w/the
EL/Erie at JA, at the west end of Starrucca Viaduct, and then west to
Binghamton.

A fun time as Guilford/MEC U25B's were the majority of power in use at the
time, and made for quite a show...
