Re: (erielack) (Off topic) Niagara & Western New York Railroad - 716-434-2400 (Off topic)

This is more on topic than you think, although not by a ton.

This is the MLW RS18 that once belonged to the Lackawanna Railway, former
operator on the DL&W main out of Scranton (prior to GVT). Looks like the
Robertvale & Sauganay (sp?) logo and stripe (original owners of the loco)
have been fully painted out either on the unit or digitally on the photo.
It also was used when the same folks operated the Owego & Hartford, after it
was replaced in Scranton with an ex-SP GP35 that had a full EL style paint
job. Replaced there with an ex-QNS&L GP9 again in EL-style paint, it became
surplus and eventually was sold to GVT. So it's entirely possible it could
return to Scranton (be nice if someone painted it finally!).

Little it's not, it's more or less an RS11 without the corner notches for
the number boards - which is probably what makes it look, well, odd.
There's a shot of in in Railpace in 1992 hauling auto racks up to the
Tobyhanna Army Depot -
