Railworks is open to suggestions for models - they've done lots of DL&W
stuff before, and their steam (PRR models I've seen) is gorgeous. The secret
here is that the manufacturers want to sell what they make, especially for
high ticket items like brass steam. I would think that if enough people put
in advance orders with a reservation amount, most brass manufacturers would
do it.

The other issue is - how well would a certain brass model sell? There's a
tremendous outlay of money just for the initial engineering for a brass
model, and if the manufacturer can't recoup that cost, it's not worth it to
them. That's why small-run brass is fairly rare and/or expensive.
