All those RS1s came back to the US (in fact, one of the NYS&W RS1s [as a
modified MRS1] survives today in Texas) - the Russians "adopted" the design,
and the batch of "new Russian switchers" that some investors brought into
the US a few years back seemed to borrow heavily from that original Alco
design...
