JWC was the super out of Hornell I think.

He was at the ELHS annual meeting in Hamburg, NY in the fall of 1997 and I had
the privilege of talking to him for a while in the tavern there. As I recall,
his son brought him to the meeting and works as an exec for a railroad
himself.

If he's willing to talk with you then by all means interview him, he remembers
some great stuff, well at least he did, he should be well well up in years by 
now.
