(erielack) former EL employee

Just before Thanksgiving I was walking out of the Tops Supermarket in
Bath, NY and this old man stopped me. He didn't say a word but just
pointed at my shirt as though he was trying to gather what to say. I
was wearing a maroon T-shirt with an EL diamond and an SD-45 printed on
it. He said, "Where did you get that shirt?" I told him. He said, "
I used to work for that company. I was superintendent of the whole
railroad from Port Jervis to __?__ (I think he said Hornell)." I asked
his name and he told me, "Jim Connor." I also asked where he lived, and
it is not far.

Has anyone on the list ever heard of, or worked for, this man?

I thought I might pay him a visit and bring along a tape recorder for an
interview on his career. Besides, he could probably use a good shirt...
