I also asked about the dual lettered diesel that
was reported earlier.  He said that Conrail is not
painting any units with both logos.  As far as he
knows, the Conrail name and blue will be retained
for the joint use areas, NJ area and Dearborn.

Conrail continues to paint units blue. Although
CSX and NS would like to same repainting units
now, equipment trusts will not permit this.  He
says that the actual take over day will probably be
1 Jan 99 for tax purposes.

As of now, Conrail diesels will be sublettered "CR"
when they are repainted to CSX and NS.  This is like
NS does on their units now.

Freight cars are being relettered to NYC and PRR for
cars that carry these owner.  I asked about the EL, 
RDG and others and he didn't know the answer.

Being in the hospital with my, I missed an opportunty to
tour the OCS when it was in Toledo two weeks ago.  The
train was used for a CR/UPS managers special and laid
over in Toledo for the day.
