Subject: On the George Ranch just south of Rosenberg sits an old box car circa
1930s that was used on the Texas-Mexico Railway from Corpus Christi to
Laredo and into Mexico. The tracks were placed there for display of the
boxcar. The George Ranch attracts many tourist each year and
demonstrates life in the earlier years of Texas.

Subject: UP Derailment of a rock train on Feb. 16, 2002 at about 7:00 pm CST.
About 30 cars piled up @ MP 30 on the UP main. I did not get a chance
to photo the scene untill six days later on Feb. 23, 2002. Nothing but
a little UP pride was hurt. This incident was just east of Richmond
which is next door to Rosenberg.
