Subject: Feb. 16, 2002 and the last leg of the reverse chase is over as BNSF
pusher # 9713 heads away. The signal tower I took the last few shots
from is shown on the left. I just may re-visit this place again. Chase
is over, getting hungry, time to head for home.

Subject: I just couldn't help it. I arrived ahead of the train at the "Y" and
saw a good spot. Atop the signal tower looked good to me. Didn't see
anyone around so I climbed up and hoped the engineer would not call it
in to security. He was a good guy and probably felt he knew me by now.
This is the BNSF main looking SE towards Galveston as I await the
approach of the empty coal train coming around the loop to the right.

Subject: Feb, 16, 2002, I positioned myself for the passing of a loaded
coal train to get a shot from a different place. Little did I know that I
would end up chasing coal trains for the rest of the afternoon. After
taking three shots of the BNSF 9902, assisted by the pusher # 9987, I
jumped in my car and the chase was on. The BNSF line follows Hwy 762
heading south from Rosenberg eventually ending in Galveston but the "Y"
at Thompson's crossing brings about two trains a day into the W. A.
Parish coal burning power plant which is about 4 or 5 miles down the
road from the Hwy 59 bridge.
