The Lehigh Valley Yards at 27th Street in 1928; the next year the Lehigh-Starrett Building would rise. Every other building
mentioned in this picture still stands, the B&O warehouse, the storage building where the railroads passed through under the arch.
North of 30th Street would today see the Javits Center. The elevated west side line had not started:

late 1960s: http://www2pb.ip-soft.net/railinfo/gifs/GL-Slides/lv-sw1-112-27th-st.jpeg

Lehigh Valley Railroad also had a carfloat in the Bronx at Bronx Terminal, the locomotive 100 almost looks like a dummy locomotive:

The Lehigh Valley Railroad had three car float yards in New York City, they interchanged freight (cars) with the Brooklyn Eastern
District Terminal Railway, the BEDT in Greenpoint, the Long Island Railroad at Long Island City, two of the car float towers still
standing as landmarks today, those via car float and by rail with the following railroads:
Central Railroad of New Jersey, in Jersey City, the Staten Island Rapid Transit, SIRT, at Cranford, NJ, and the West Shore Railroad
of the New York Central, nit sure where the interchange was.

But listen and I'll tell you what our Dummy dun done;
Left New Brunswick at half past one,
And arrived at Metuchen before the setting of the sun.

On the Dummy, on the Dummy Line,
Rise Shine and pay your fine;
Rise Shine and pay your fine,
When you're riding on the Dummy,
