I did some quick refresher research as I was almost certain MC did at one time
use Central Station.

We're both right and I am only wrong in the timeframe detail :)

The Big Four trains did use Central Station up to the bitter end, but MC
trains also terminated there for quite a long time. I believe some MC trains
were rerouted out of IC's station before MC trains stopped using IC's facility
altogether in the mid 50's. I'm not sure when the last MC train departed
Central Station though...

As an aside, the commuter platforms are still in use although Central Staion
was razed in '74 after being closed for a couple of years

I don't know how long the MC through cars lasted, but that 1921 TT reference
is the only evidence I have run across thusfar. I doubt the arrangement lasted
into the depression. I'll certainly let you know when and if I find a
definitive answer.
