The Lehigh Valley did use the CNJ terminal before WWI. LV had originally=
used the PRR's Exchange Place terminal. There was some sort of falling o=
ut
and the LV switched to the CNJ. During WWI the USRA ordered the PRR to
again handle the LV trains - this time to New York. After the war the LV
trains remained.
Into the 1920's there were Lehigh Valley commuter trains that came in alo=
ng
the Morris Canal Basin. There was some sort of footbridge over the track=
s
to allow passengers to get to the CNJ station. This lasted unil the earl=
y
1920's.
