(erielack) Memorial Day Flood 1968

1968 and 2013 are tracking day-for-day.  That was back in the day of
Boonton Line "Wyatt Erp" coaches and Stillwells.  A very intense rain fell
on May 29th flooding the area for several days.  A New York Times story
noted that the Erie Lackawanna Greenwood Lake line washed out at Glen
Ridge.  Does anybody have recollections of that?  Was service knocked out
for a few days?
