That's the Mt. Minski fire lookout tower. I'm sure it was a great place for
photos, especially after the leaves dropped.

I located what I believe to be the fire tower in Google Earth and plotted a
line based on photo 62 and the photographer's location appears to be about
500' west of the sight line from the fire tower. Of course I could be totally
wrong about the location of the fire tower.
