Re: (erielack) October calendar images



When the GE U34's came along it must have created a surplus of engines with
all of the RS2's and 3's available for freight and switching work.  These
ladies were probably well worn from commuter service.  I never heard of EL
selling any of them to short lines.  EL kept them around but CR got retired
them quickly.  I'm wondering what work required all these Alcos around
Meadville.
