Re: (erielack) DL&W Trainmasters in lieu of E8's in passenger service

Rich and John,

The first 10 Trainmasters were equipped with steam generators and were 
frequently used in Boonton Line commuter service.  I assume John is asking 
about intercity service and it is certainly plausible they were used in lieu 
of E8's.  I believe there is a photo in one of the Lackawanna in Color 
series books of such an occurrence, but not cannot remember which volume.
