Re: (erielack) Route of the "Cleveland Lake Cities"



None of the locations mentioned below were of the Cleveland Union Terminal (the "Terminal Tower" to most locals).  That was about 3 miles north of EL trackage.  I believe the connecting trackage was operated by the Cleveland Union Terminal Company (a subsidiary of the NYC), but Mr. Timko can set me straight on that.  The connector was passenger-service-only for the Erie and later the EL.  All the trackage mentioned in the note below is freight trackage that connects the Erie Docs with the Riverbed yard, the E55th yard, Randall, etc.

s this where Cleveland's Union Station was? Wasn't  it so, that the 
ennsylvania Railroad shared that station with the Erie? Lance
