The F89G was the 89' ACF C-channel car built 1964-66. For this initial
release, the models appropriate for EL layouts are TT oxide red (1963-76)
and TT yellow (1971-76). TTX yellow is a post-1981 model. Thanks for the
link, Paul. And a big thank-you to Athearn for producing this very common
TOFC car of the EL era. Unlike some other manufacturers, Athearn continues
to forge ahead with product development in this very shaky economy.

They probably should have clarified with "other >>>89'<<< long flatcars of
their era; C-channel cars of shorter lengths were pretty common. (think of
the Erie and EL 75' cars)
