Finaly, a minor production snafu
For some of our new ACF 70-ton gondolas, a quality issue has caused some cars to sit a little too low in height and therefore they do not roll well, and the coupler height is equally impacted. While we carefully designed the car to have significant steel weights hidden above the trucks (and underneath a prototypical depth floor) to make the gondola significantly heavy, we did not consider the impact a production error would have on rolling quality. The good news is that this is easily remedied with a less than 10 cent expenditure per car with a washer likely already in your model toolbox, OR by writing us an email; please see our website’s “Customer Service” tab for assistance in case you desire assistance.
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Unfortunately, this was discovered after our first production models were shipped. Future orders placed directly with us starting tomorrow will include spare washers from Kadee in a baggie for modeler addition if necessary.
