Well, actually . . . UP didn't use any station in Chicago.  From time imemorial, its connection from Omaha was C&NW, to the C&NW Station in Chicago.  Then, in 1955, the UP shifted (gasp!) to the MILW, which put their trains into Union Station -- a much easier transfer for the through PRR cars.

All this is, of course WAY off topic -- unless you want to "what if . . ." Erie's participation.

I dont have ATSF or PPR timetable right here however there were a few Transcons but only those involving ATSF would be at Deaborn  UP didnt use Dearborn It and PRR used Union Station at that time. EL ATSF GTW WABASH CWI MONON were RRs whose trains terminated there all but ATSF were coOwners of...
