Re:(erielack) Dearborn Station picture



Since this picture is dated 1964, the days of the transcontinental sleepers
are long gone.
Also, in 1964, the EL ran 3 trains into Chicago:  The Pacific/Atlantic
Express which was primarily a mail train, The Lake Cities, which didn't have
a sleeper west of Youngstown, and The Phoebe Snow.  So looking at this
picture (with head-end cars at the far end and an EL sleeper at the near
end) is it possible that this is the Phoebe Snow being serviced?  That still
leaves the question of why that was done before the train was turned, and
what is that PRR sleeper doing on the rear?
