FWIW.  Eagle Bridge, NY, is between Hoosick Falls and Johnsonville, on the B&M Mechanicville mainline north of Troy.

Thanks for the link. There are a lot of interesting photos there!

The photo in question is most definitely, Ayer, and the train is westbound on the Number 1, (westbound), Main track. The photo was taken from the eastbound passenger platform, which you can see in the foreground.

Most likely, this car is an MT going back to the HP Hood plant in Eagle Bridge.
