RE: (erielack) EL "Canstock car"

This is why "Canstock" was in quotes - they're Canstock-like, since I
know of no other cars with that significantly-offset door.

Does anyone know what the EL's cars were used for originally, and why
they had that huge offset? The car in the photo was in food service at
the time it was photographed.
