First, I am not a NIMBY by any stretch of the imagination, and cannot stand it when people complain
about the noise of the train behind the house they just bought running on tracks that have been
there since the second century back. Or buy a house next to the airport and then . . .

Whatever.

And I'm not talking about some sort of moral obligation to protect the trespassers. I'm talking
about the railroad taking a sensible approach to realizing that there are nitwits out there that may
do something even more stupid than walk along the walkway next to the track, and who may have enough
money to hire Extremely Good Lawyers. You have, no doubt, heard the term "attractive nuisance?"
Trains are just that, plus it's over Letchworth State Park. Great combination.

I am glad to read that there is a fence 500' past the ends of the bridge. Good sensible
self-protection on the part of NS. And I do concur that the principal reason for the speed
restriction is the safety (or lack of it) of the bridge structure.
