My mother, years ago, living with a railroad-knowledgeable travelling man for a husband and having a rabid railfan son, was happy to announce one evening that she and my father had tickets to the new Rpgers and Hammerstein show on Broadway, "Southern Pacific."  She loved the show.

A man I know, now divorced, when he married his wife arranged that they would have a civil ceremony. . . this greatly troubled his new mother-in-law. . . he told her that he worshipped at the Church of the Southern Pacific," . . .
