I enjoyed that clip and the Lakeland/CS-9 clip so much I forwarded it to
friends and relatives. I was struck by something, how many on this list
could be in those clips [especially the 759 one], if so there is a bunch of
us near the same age. I got to ride behind 759 in September 1968 on its
first trip from Conneaut, OH to Buffalo NKP[N&W]; got to see Buffalo
interchange with E-L and some E-L traffic. On that trip, we had food service
in a baggage car, a sleeper-lounge and our NYC combination car as well as an
observation car for 1st class. Our car had the only air-conditioning that
stayed on after one of 759's bearings overheated and we were delayed 4
hours.
