RE: (erielack) team tracks without platforms

There were cases where the "build it yourself" home WAS the boxcar. Back in the early '70's UP sent a detective down to Mexico to find out why a lot of their boxcars which went down there with loads never returned. He found several with wheels removed and windows cut out of the sides with families living inside.

I didn't think it was Sears, but it was definitely a "build-it-yourself"
home in a 50' boxcar. I'll have to ask and find out who the shipper as!
