Re: (erielack) More on EL E8 Conversions



        Hey Guys,
        I think this would have something to do with the re gearing of
#833.
        Shortly before the breakup of Conrail, the Office Car Special
went through Berea, Ohio with 4022 (833) in the lead.  When the train
tripped the "talking" detector in Olmstead Falls, Ohio, a couple of miles
to the west it was doing 79 m.p.h.
        Doesn't sound like freight gearing to me.
