(erielack) Operations of EL-CNJ SE-98/ES-99

I was reviewing the daily log of ACX-99 for January 1975. The 1/10/75 train
(along with everything else) detoured via Port due to derailment of the
previous day's ES-99 at the Water Gap. I'm struck by the irony of ES-99
successfully negotiating the scary track of the High Bridge branch, only to
derail on the relatively good track of the EL main. This is the location
where the following September the same train wrecked on an undermined
section of roadbed, severely damaging two units.
