(erielack) HO Jct?

If you want to see some rockin', watch Green Frog's Heritage Series "The EL
RR". Near the end of disc 2, it shows an EB out of Marion on the joint track
(ex-Big Four PC) to Galion; evidently track 2 was PC's and was in worse
shape than track 1. The EL train is proceeding under a 25mph slow order, and
even so the SD's are rocking violently back and forth as the wheels hit the
low joints. Some of those crews must have gotten seasick if they went to the
BR. Very entertaining DVD, btw.

I also have some nice shots taken at HO Jct. not long before Conrail. I
couldn't believe the condition fo the track those two big freights used
daily.
Watching one go westbound was scary, to say the least. Once they got
permission by
the signal at the diamond and got the one at the top of the New Connection
at
West Chester Jct. they'd open it up and make a run for it. The diamond over

the Chester Branch would pump up and down about six inches or more as each
car
hit it and the train rocked unbelievably. How they stayed on the rail was
anybody's guess.
