   A kind list member e-mailed me to ask about some of the items I have asked the list about. One question was about any articles about the milk train accident and in case anyone else is interested in this, our wonderful local library is scanning and digitizing our early newspapers, then putting them online. I found the edition that came out right after the accident:

They also scanned the Budget, an 1880's-something newspaper that has a lot of silly world news, but every weekly edition had a page or two of local news. There might be some early RR news in there, too. That can be found at the same library site, but here is the link to the page of what they have scanned thus far (the 1950's are coming soon):
