I hope this helps, Paul. People on this list seem to get confused about
names and places. My weaknesses are along the lines of what year did
something in particular change.

You are so correct on the year particular jobs did certain things Len.
NOTHING stayed the same for to many years, thus when I see guys that say
this job did this, and NOT mention a VERY specific time factor, or sometimes NO
time factor I cringe. The RR was constantly changing what jobs did what and
went where. When one guy states something, its from a specific time that he
saw that particular operation, which could just several years before or after
be totally different. Ones association with the RR in the early 60 verses
someone else's in the mid 60 vs late 60 vs early 70s vs mid 70s vs just before
CR are all different, and even in between those periods there could be MANY
changes.
I do know that between the Pusher, the Orange drill, the Bloomer, and where
they went on what days the area west of Newark is one section of the RR that
DID change a lot.
For authenticity sake, I would like to request that ALL OF US when
proclaiming certain things, that we match it with an equally authentic time factor.
Authenticitymister.
