Hello Peter, I noted the source at the bottom, in case anyone wants to look it up. It was from the June 4, 1892 edition of a Newark NJ newspaper called Town Talk. I, too, was surprised to see it referred to as the Delay, Linger & Wait so much earlier than I thought it had been originally.
