Paul, See my earlier reply on the NKP Movements thread. The short answer is that the NYC had trackage rights on the NYS&W to the north end of track of the portion of railroad known as the Edgewater and Fort Lee, sometimes called the Northern Extension. The NYS&W did not have rights south on NYC property. However, the Erie had operating rights from Weehawken to reach Edgewater via the NY Central. I'm a bit confused here - the NYC and NYS&W had a joint line between Weehawken and Edgewater? What period of time was this? - Paul The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
