Thanks for the explaination, Schuyler, I wasn't aware of
this. It seems my my ignorance  turned out to be a blessing
when I was working on my Oriental S-3 a while ago. It had
sat in its box for more than a decade partially
disassembled. When it came to installing the drawbar, I
remember puzzling over just how it was supposed to go,
since the insulated bushings were not quite right for the
frame. I finally made some of my own bushings to attach it
to the loco frame, plus used a plastic screw for the tender
stud. I backs up fine now!
