More important is that there is essentially no freight business on this line.  If there was a decent size customer (like Moore Paper used to be) then the excursions would be safe.  About 2 years ago a frim that makes foam rubber was looking to locate on the line and the NIMBYS chased them off.  Odds are any other industry would be "NIMBYed" as well.
