> Binghamton was sold in 1967 to Mowbray Tug and Barge Sales. They later sold her to Edward Russo, an Edgewater contractor, who planned to turn her into a floating clam-bar, restaurant, dining rooms and two pubs in the former engine room. After six years of frustration, the American National Bank & Trust of Montclair, NJ, which held a 1973 note for $50,000 owed by Ruscan Industries, using the Binghamton as collateral; decided to seek buyers for the former ferryboat. Ferry Binghamton, Inc. of Hackensack, NJ bought the boat in late 1974 for $65,000 and on July 1, 1975 opened her to the public as Binghamton's. Moored off River Road in Edgewater, NJ and outwardly unchanged, internally she is more luxurious than when delivered back in 1905.

> Elmira was sold to E.O.Wickberg & Co. of Perth Amboy, NJ, who had plans to use her for a floating restaurant and bar, but after a great deal of expense, the venture was vetoed by the PerthAmboy officials, who liked the restaurant idea, but would not go for the addition of another bar to their town, so by 1971 she was up for sale again.

> Scranton was sold to Ruscon Industries of Tuxedo Park, NY, who planned to use her as a floating exhibition hall. Thier plans went down the drain, when Scranton broke her moorings during a storm in 1968. She foundered off Pier 16 north of Bethlehem Steel Shipyards, Hoboken. All attempts to raise her, including the pumping in of popcorn like pellets failed. Finally her superstructure was removed and a derrick employed to lift her hull off the harbor floor, after which she was scrapped.
