Ummm, not exactly. The *EL* (not ERIE) purchased the 5000-series orange reefers from Pacific Car & Foundry in two batches - first batch (5000-5019) were purchased in March of 1966, and the second batch (5020-5039) were purchased in December of 1967. The former batch was distinguishable for haing the EL logo on a large steel placard affixed to the car ribs, while the latter series had the EL logo simply painted on the carbody over the ribs.
