Time to flip the EL calendar... :) The March 2005 calendar image is certainly an intriguing one filled with detail. Eastbound train 54 crosses the Ramapo River in Tuxedo, NY led by former DL&W E8 817 (the last to retain its portholes) and a sister. Interestingly, the train that trails it features Stillwells wearing every scheme they wore on the EL - Erie, EL two-tone gray/green, and the one-of-a-kind GMY 2654. The bright colors help to improve the drab early spring scenery. One interesting item to point out to modelers: check out the differences in the gray colors on the two E8s! Does anyone know if the GMY Stillwell, 2654, was ever repainted into green before it was retired? - Paul ------------------------------
