RE: (erielack) Food for thought... What if.



It certainly was, even into PC years (in fact, EL power ran through to New Haven, while PC power ran through to Port Jervis)

What killed that interchange was PC's "alleged" :)  desire to keep all the traffic to itself by routing it over the NYC-NH, and cutting the EL out of the the picture. This was "conveniently" taken care of by the "mysterious" (cough, cough, PC arsonist, cough cough) fire of the Poughkeepsie Bridge.
