(erielack) Halloween Treat

little late of a report here, but -

I happened to be getting out of the car at Carousel Mall in Syracuse on
Friday evening and got my "treat" for Halloween:

HLCX 6515, alive and well trailing a CSX unit on a westbound auto rack
train, clearly the lone ex-EL SDP45 that made it into their fleet - and I
think at this point the lone unit running in any of the lease pools. Took a
minute to register, then I said to myself "(expletive deleted), I know what
that is!"

Now if it had been daylight and I'd had a camera...lol... can't complain,
I'd have a blurry digital mess most likely since thats the camera I usually
have around. Plus I got lucky to see it at all; Dispatcher was holding a
frieght on the closer main so this guy could pass and an eastbound stacker
could go by. I only saw the power because an empty bulkhead flat was
passing when the other westbound with the EL unit came by me. Just need to
get the railroad gods to smile on us and get it leading a train run over the
NYS&W out of Little Ferry and on up here, on a nice sunny day.. say a
Saturday.. and advance notice enough for a motorcade of guys chasing?
Thats probably a miracle akin to parting the Red Sea.
